Here in the Northeast, March feels not yet like spring, but not fully winter anymore, either ..

It's the birds I always notice first. While everything is still asleep underground, the birds come back and get busy, instinctively knowing what's next. They wake me up in the morning with their chatter about whatever it is that birds chatter about.
Winter Berry feels like a natural choice for March.
Outside, things are looking slightly muddy and sometimes slushy, but the fresh scent of cool greens like cypress and fir offer the last, romantic vestiges of winter.
Warmed up with a spiced berry base, it feels welcoming in those last, raw days. You know them, when you've been running around in the cold all day, and when you're finally home, you can put your feet up and relax.
Light the candle, pour a glass of wine or a cup of tea, and take a breather.
